Return & Refund Policy

Overview

We want you to be happy with what you buy from DRC TRACTORS. This policy explains when you can cancel an order, return goods and get a refund. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and applies together with your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

Because many of our products are large, used or arranged specially for you, please read this policy and ask us any questions before you buy.

Cancelling before delivery

If you want to cancel an order before it has been delivered or collected, contact us as soon as possible. If we have not yet arranged transport or started preparing the goods, we will refund what you paid. If we have already paid for transport, modifications or other costs for your order, we may deduct those reasonable costs from your refund.

Your 7-day right to cancel an online purchase

If you bought goods from us through our website, you may have the right under ECTA to cancel the purchase without giving a reason and without penalty, within 7 days after you receive the goods. To use this right:

• contact us in writing within the 7 days to tell us you are cancelling;
• keep the goods safe, unused and in the same condition you received them; and
• return the goods to us. You pay the direct cost of returning them unless we agree otherwise.

This right does not apply to some goods, for example goods made or modified to your specifications. We will tell you before you buy if this applies to your order.

Faulty or incorrect goods

You are entitled to goods that are of good quality, work as they should and match their description. If goods are faulty, unsafe or not as described, contact us within 6 months of receiving them. You may then ask us to repair, replace or refund the goods, as the CPA provides.

For used machines, this does not apply to a defect or condition that was clearly pointed out to you before you bought, or that you could reasonably have seen when you inspected the machine. Normal wear and tear is also not a defect.

Goods damaged or missing on delivery

If your goods arrive damaged, or part of your order is missing, note it on the delivery note, take photos and contact us as soon as possible, as explained in our Shipping & Delivery page. We will work with the transport company to put it right.

Goods we cannot take back

Unless the goods are faulty or not as described, we may refuse a return where:

• the goods have been used, fitted, damaged or changed after delivery;
• the goods were specially ordered, made or modified for you, such as modified containers;
• spare parts have been installed, or are not in their original condition and packaging; or
• you ask for the return after the time periods in this policy have passed.

How to make a return or refund request

To start a return, please:

• contact us by email or through our Contact Us page and give your name, order or invoice number and the product;
• explain the reason and, where there is a fault or damage, attach clear photos or a short video; and
• wait for our reply. Please do not send goods back before we have agreed the return, so that nothing gets lost or refused.

We will reply to tell you whether the return is accepted, how to send the goods back and where to deliver them.

Returning the goods

Returned goods must be packed or loaded safely so they are not damaged in transit, and sent to the address we give you. If the return is because the goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, we will cover the reasonable cost of returning them. In other cases, you pay the cost of return unless we agree otherwise. You remain responsible for the goods until we receive them.

Inspection and refunds

When we receive the goods, we will inspect them and let you know the result. If your return is accepted, we will refund you to the original payment method, for example by EFT back to the account you paid from. We aim to refund you within 30 days of accepting your return or cancellation, and usually sooner.

If the goods come back damaged or used in a way that was not allowed, we may reduce the refund by the reasonable loss in value.

Business customers

If you are buying for a business that is not protected by the CPA, returns outside of faulty goods or goods not as described are at our discretion and by agreement. Please contact us to discuss.
